We would like to invite you cordially to the 1st Early Career Sedimentologist Meeting (ECSM) organized by the Fachsektion Sedimentologie/SEPM-CES to be held on the 8th and 9th of June 2018 at the Institute of Geology at the Leibniz University Hannover.
The ESCM is dedicated to bring together young sedimentologists (PhD and MSc students) and their supervisors from all around Germany to present and discuss their on-going research in an informal setting with the sedimentary community. The ESCM will provide an informal platform for young researchers to share research experience, discuss new innovative or controversial topics with established colleagues and initiate future collaborations.
The scientific program will cover Friday (08.06.) afternoon to Saturday (09.06.) morning and will include oral presentations and posters. We plan to invite two keynote speakers presenting aspects of academic as well as industry interests of sedimentology.

Abstract submission - The deadline for abstract submission has been extended. Abstracts for poster or oral presentations should be submitted before April 30, 2018.

Scientific abstracts (1 page in A4-format) must be submitted as word-document (*.doc-format) directly to ecsm2018@. The abstract volume will be provided as PDF download on this website when completed. geowi.uni-hannover.de
Please indicate in your e-mail whether you prefer a poster and/or oral presentation. Talks are limited to 15 minutes (+ 5 minutes for discussion). The poster must be no larger than portrait A0 (Width x Height: 841 mm x 1189 mm / 33.11 in x 46.81 in).
