The Leopold-von-Buch badge is awarded to geoscientists for outstanding merits in geosciences.
The Gustav-Steinmann medal is awarded to geoscientists for outstanding merits in geosciences.
The Serge-von-Bubnoff medal is awarded to persons with outstanding merits in the public representation of geosciences.
The Eugen-Seibold-Prize is awarded to geoscientists for outstanding merits in geosciences.
The Hans-Stille-Medal (donated 1948) was awarded by the Deutschen Gesellschaft für Geowissenschaften for for outstanding merits in geosciences.
The Hans-Stille-Medal has no longer awarded since 2016.
The Hermann-Credner-Prize is awarded to outstanding junior scientists to support future research projects.
DGGV awards the Hans Cloos Prize to young scientists who are generally under the age of 35 and have made significant contributions to the geosciences in the form of outstanding, independent and internationally published geoscientific research activities or outstanding contributions to our understanding of geoscientific processes.
The Rolf und Marlies-Teichmüller-Prize is awarded to geoscientists for outstanding research in the field of coal petrology.
The Abraham-Gottlob-Werner-Medaille and the Abraham-Gottlob-Werner-Honorary Needle were awarded by the Deutschen Gesellschaft für Geowissenschaften for outstanding achievements in geoscientific subdisciplines or for the DGG.
