2nd Early Career Sedimentologist Meeting (ECSM) 2020

12th and 13th of June 2020

Invitation

We would like to invite you cordially to the 2nd Early Career Sedimentologist Meeting (ECSM) organized by the Fachsektion Sedimentologie/SEPM-CES to be held on the 12th and 13th of June 2020 at the Institute of Geology at the Leibniz University Hannover.

The ECSM is dedicated to bring together young sedimentologists (PhD and MSc students) and their supervisors from all around Germany to present and discuss their on-going research in an informal setting with the sedimentary community. The ESCM provides an informal platform for young researchers to share research experience, discuss new innovative or controversial topics with established colleagues and initiate future collaborations.

The scientific program will cover Friday (12.06.) afternoon to Saturday (13.06.) morning and will include oral presentations and posters. Invited keynote speakers will present different aspects of academic as well as industry interests of sedimentology. Keynote presentations will be given by:

Dr. Catalina Gebhardt (AWI Bremen)
Reconstruction of ice-sheet dynamics and glacial history: A sedimentological perspective

Tamara Fahry-Seelig (Bundesverband Deutscher Geowissenschaftler e.V.)
Arbeitsmarktchancen für Geowissenschaftler

Dr. Christoph A. Schneider (Wintershall DEA Deutschland AG) & Dr. Nadine Schöner (Bundesgesellschaft für Endlagerung mbH)
